There are few such things in football such as a guarantee of goals, however, Radamel Falcao just happens to be one of those and so it is an absoluter no brainer for Chelsea to sign him this summer.
West London club are on the verge of a sensational end-of-season deal to sign Atletico de Madrid’s coveted Colombia international striker Radamel Falcao.

The future of Radamel Falcao appears likely to be the most talked about transfer saga of this summer’s window.
The Colombia international’s sensational strike rate makes him a rare commodity in world football, and has scored wherever and for whoever he is playing. That is why mega-rich Champions League holders Chelsea have been keeping close tabs on the 27-year-old for the past two seasons now.
In fact, the West London giants have tried desperately to convince his employers in the Spanish capital to part company with their jewel in the crown in both of the previous two transfer windows, only for Atletico to spurn their advances on each occasion, with Diego Simeone’s side currently flying high in the La Liga standings.
Falcao will not come cheap for the Blues though, and because the Colombian is contracted to Atletico until June 30 2016, his club have all the power in subsequent negotiations.
The Daily Star suggest Chelsea will bid £40 million, which may seem a lot to pay for a player who has only been operating in Europe’s top leagues for the past four years.
However, whether it be with for River (34 in 90), Porto (41 in 51), Atletico (45 in 59) or for his national team Colombia (16 in 42), Falcao knows where the goal is and that is a precious commodity in football that does not come cheap.
With Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Oscar operating between the lines, the striker position is the only weakness in Chelsea’s attacking line. Falcao would turn that into a major strength, and would help the Blues challenge for the Premier League title again.
