Tomas Kalas is set to arrive back early from a loan spell in the Bundesliga.
Chelsea centre back Tomas Kalas is set to move on loan to Middlesbrough this week after he returns from a disappointing loan spell with Bundesliga outfit FC Cologne early, report the Mail, although Queens Park Rangers will look to hijack the move.

Kalas rose to prominence when he played 90 minutes in Chelsea’s 2-0 win at Anfield at the tail end of last season, but he was once again loaned out by Jose Mourinho during the summer – to Bundesliga new boys Cologne.
He has failed to impress during sporadic playing opportunities in Germany, however, and is now set to link up with Mourinho’s former Real Madrid assistant Aitor Karanka at Middlesbrough.
