Koke is a bonafide stud for Atletico Madrid, so it’s no surprise the La Liga outfit wants an arm and a leg for the young star.
Chelsea either need to up the ante for Koke or give up on him after Atletico Madrid rejected their recent bid for the midfield ace.
According to the Metro, Atletico Madrid turned down Jose Mourinho’s €65 million bid for the 23-year-old Koke.
The Metro translated a Spanish newspaper which revealed that Koke himself was convinced by the club to turn down transfer offers from both Chelsea and Bundesliga giant Bayern Munich.
Last summer Barcelona reportedly fell short of a bid for Koke, which opened the door for The Special One to launch a bid for the former Under-21 champion.
Koke is a proven scoring threat from the midfield with 15 goals since 2009 and was a key contributor to Atletico Madrid’s La Liga title victory in 2014.
