The Blues have long admired the 35-year-old who has proved time and time again to judge him on his play, not his age.
And speaking to Spanish publication AS, quoted by Metro, Pirlo spoke of his desire to play abroad and that Juventus will be his last Serie A side, whatever happens.
“Ending my Juventus story by pocketing the Champions League would be a dream come true,” he said.
“But I won’t stop playing, I’ll go on as long as I have the same great desire to keep training every day.
“But I wouldn’t go to another Italian team. Juventus will be my last Serie A team, whatever happens.
“MLS could be an idea but for the moment, I don’t have anything, Juve are the only thing on my mind.”
The MLS might seem the most obvious choice for the midfielder given the relative ease of the league comparatively and the payday it will like provide – but a move to the Premier League shouldn’t be ruled out, says the Metro.
So far in his career, Pirlo has only played in Italy so a change of scenery might be too good an opportunity to miss so late in his career.
