The Metro reports that the Premier League leaders are ready to battle it out with the likes of Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg for the 24-year-old.
If he chooses west London over remaining in Italy or a switch to the Bundesliga, he will follow in the footsteps of a number of his compatriots who have either played for Chelsea in the past or are still on the books.
Ramires, Oscar and Wilian are key figures in the Blues dressing room, and going further back in time, David Luiz, Alex, Deco and Juliano Belleti have also turned out for the club.
Loureiro operates predominantly as a holding midfielder, and would offer competition for places in boss Jose Mourinho’s engine room along with the likes of Nemanja Matic, John Obi Mikel and fellow countryman Ramires.
He has one year remaining on his current contract with Udinese, which could give Chelsea hope of securing his signature for a relatively modest sum of money.
