The pair were involved in a heated altercation on the pitch, with the Serbian not only trying to head-butt McCarthy, but images suggested he may have attempted a bite whilst holding the 24-year-old around the neck.
Mourinho’s side have got lucky with the decision – which means the Blues boss can struggle to claim that there is a ‘campaign’ against the club.
