Chelsea have reportedly set their sights on three more big-name signings this summer in deals potentially worth a combined £62.5m in total, according to CaughtOffside.
Although Blues boss Jose Mourinho has recently suggested that his summer spending is over for this transfer window, with big names such as Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas, Filipe Luis and Didier Drogba all coming in, it has now emerged that there could be further arrivals before the transfer deadline, depending on possible player sales in the coming weeks.
Doubts remain over the futures of the likes of Fernando Torres, Ramires and John Obi Mikel, while Mourinho is also known to be keen to find one more centre-back for the new season.

A superb young talent, Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho has been linked with Chelsea several times in the past, and remains on Mourinho’s radar this summer. Although Arsenal currently look the favourites to sign him as they also eye new signings in midfield, Chelsea could attempt to hijack the deal late on depending on whether one of Ramires or Mikel leaves Stamford Bridge in the next few weeks.
2) Raphael Varane (Real Madrid)
A long-time target for Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, Raphael Varane may still be an option for the Blues this summer as they hope to bring in one more central defender. Although it is hardly a problem position for the club, they may be slightly short of depth at the back after David Luiz’s move to Paris Saint-Germain, and a young player such as Varane would be a great long-term purchase with the view of eventually replacing John Terry as first choice.
1) Loic Remy (Queens Park Rangers)
With Fernando Torres underperforming in his time at Chelsea, it is still likely that the club will look to offload him if they can this summer. The likes of Inter Milan are said to be interested in the Spaniard, and he will surely move if the right offer comes along. It has now emerged that Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy would be the ideal replacement for Torres upfront, with the Frenchman still available for just £8.5m due to a clause in his contract. With proposed moves to Arsenal and Liverpool not working out, Chelsea may now be set to pounce for what would be another astute addition to their squad.
