Blues hoping to be able to persuade Poland international to move to the Bridge.
Jose Mourinho wants to make in-form Borussia Dortmund front man Robert Lewandowski his first signing after being announced as the new Chelsea head coach, says Marca.
The Portuguese is currently in charge of La Liga champions Real Madrid, however, speculation has been mounting of late suggesting that the self-styled ‘Special One’ will quit his role in the Spanish capital this summer, despite Mourinho having a contract at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2016.
But, Madrid’s loss to Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals of the Uefa Champions League earlier this week has made Mourinho’s position in Madrid virtually untenable, with a return to former club Chelsea now believed to be very much on the cards.
And the first player that Mourinho wants to bring to the English capital this summer is the man who ended his dream of winning the Champions League with Madrid, Dortmund attacker Lewandowski, who has hit an incredible ten goals in just 11 appearances in Europe for the German club this season, including a record-breaking four against Real last week.
