Queens Park Rangers scoring sensation Charlie Austin has been a major target for Chelsea, but a whole bunch of Premier League clubs are looking to get in on the action.
According to the Express, the Blues have been joined by West Bromwich Albion, Newcastle United, and Southampton in the race for Austin’s signature. The 25-year-old Forward finished 4th in Premier League goals scored last season and was the only player from a bottom three club to finish in the top 10 of goals scored. The Express reported that the current price tag on Austin is approximately £15 million.
A Tweet by TNC Premier League (transfernewscentral.com) also indicated that Premier League newcomer Bournemouth has also entered the fray.

Austin has recorded double-digit scoring seasons in nine of his 10 senior seasons since he was a teenage wonderkid with Kintbury Rangers back in 2006. After recording a hat-trick in a win over West Bromwich back in December, Austin was named Premier League Player of the Month.
The QPR scoring machine recorded 18 goals for the club last season, but his offensive output couldn’t match their defensive failures and QPR was relegated after just one season.
