Radamel Falcao is thought to be moving closer to joining Chelsea on loan from AS Monaco after positive talks between the clubs over the weekend.
The Blues reportedly agreed personal terms with the Colombian, who bombed on loan at Manchester United last season, last week and have now had a breakthrough in negotiations with his club.
The Daily Mail understands that Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic has been offered in part exchange and that Monaco have the option to buy him for £11m at the end of the season.

The 20-year-old Croatian, who joined the Blues from Hajduk Split for £3m in 2014, was on loan at Spanish side Elche last season and has recently been linked with Inter Milan.
Monaco are keen to add a central midfielder to their ranks in case they lose Geoffrey Kondogbia, who is on the radar of AC Milan and several Premier League clubs including Arsenal.
And Falcao, should he return to the form of his Atletico Madrid and Porto days, would provide Chelsea with the striking competition that they crave for Diego Costa.
Blues manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that he wants to help the 29-year-old, who is currently on Copa America duty, get back to his best, rather than the figure who managed only four goals for United.
