Chelsea are the frontrunners to sign Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann in what could be one of the biggest transfer deals of the summer.
The winger is being linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs after a debut season at the Vicente Calderon in which he scored 27 goals in all competitions and often carried Atletico’s attack single-handedly.

Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are all thought to be in the running, but Chelsea appear to be favourites to land the exciting 24-year-old, who moved to Madrid from Real Sociedad for £24m in 2014.
A series of big wagers have forced Betfair to slash the odds on Griezmann moving to Stamford Bridge when the window reopens into 4/5, and prompted reports that the Blues may already have met his £43.5m release clause.
Griezmann was named French Player of the Year by magazine Onze Mondial, ahead of Lyon’s 29-goal striker Alexandre Lacazette and in-demand Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, both of whom may also be on the move imminently.
