The stars that make us laugh and sometimes confused.
As much as football is about great goals and superb skill, fans also want to be entertained by the jokers and weird characters that the sport throws up.
The Premier League has had players such as these down the years – including Mario Balotelli and Jimmy Bullard in recent times – but there are a few now as well.
Here are the five best (or worst) from fanatix.
5. Lukas Podolski – Arsenal
Who says Germans don’t have a sense of humour? The Gunners forward may be serious on the pitch but off it and all that goes out of the window.
Podolski’s infamous ‘Aha’ catchphrase seems to have kept the north London squad going throughout their pre-season tour.
4. David Luiz – Chelsea
Crazy hair is always a good start and Luiz certainly has that and a wild side off the pitch to boot, regularly uploading stupid and genuinely bizarre pictures on social media.
3. Emmanuel Frimpong – Arsenal
The only reason anyone still realises the Ghana international is playing is the incessant Instagram posts the midfielder keeps uploading.
These stretch from the silly – pouting with Jack Wilshere – to the downright odd, as Frimpong shared a video dancing and grinding with his Mum (which was later deleted).
2. Benoit Assou-Ekotto – Tottenham Hotspur
bottom!!!? I dont thînk as drake started from there… LOL pic.twitter.com/6J5jNZCSFj

Although the left-back is on-loan at QPR currently, the Cameroon international is still a Spurs player and is a downright strange bloke too.
There is something very likable about Assou-Ekotto with some brutal words of honesty in the past, but the tweets and pictures the defender shares usually have the same response; huh?
1. Marko Arnautovic – Stoke City
A friend of Balotelli’s, need we say any more? The Italian played with the striker at Inter Milan and had this to say about the 24-year-old.
“The English press liked to talk about Mario – but I promise you Marko will make me looking like the most boring guy in the world,” Balotelli was quoted by the Daily Mail.
“He is one of the funniest and craziest people I have ever met – there will never be a boring moment when he is around.”
There have been training ground punch-ups, stolen cars and injuries involving dogs already so watch out Mark Hughes!
