Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah is closing in on a season-long loan deal with AS Roma, according to reports.
Salah has been heavily linked with an exit from the Premier League club just 18 months after joining the Blues from Swiss side FC Basel.
The Egyptian international has been the subject of interest from Fiorentina and Inter Milan, but The Mirror reports the 23-year-old has agreed to join Roma on loan with the Italian club having the option of making his move permanent for a £16m fee next year.
Salah impressed during his six-month loan stint with Fiorentina last season, scoring six goals in 16 Serie A appearances for the Florence club.
According to the report, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho views Salah as being surplus to requirements next season and it now seems certain he will make the move to the Stadio Olimpico this summer.
Salah has made just 13 Premier League appearances for the Blues, scoring two goals.
