The Viola have already activated their option to extend his loan stay in Florence, although the player himself has the power to veto the option and move elsewhere.
While the likes of Inter and Juventus have reportedly been monitoring the situation, it looks as though Fiorentina will secure his signature in the coming days with Della Valle expecting a conclusion to talks sooner rather than later.
“We’re trying to keep him, this is the decisive day,” Della Valle told reporters, according to Football Italia.
“Personally, I’m optimistic about the negotiations succeeding. We’ll understand everything this evening.”
The Egyptian international has previously suggested that he is 80 percent likely to stay in Florence next season, but it appears as though the two parties have reached a decisive period in talks.
Having impressed last season, Salah will be hopeful of continuing his good form after struggling for a regular spot in the starting line-up at Stamford Bridge following his switch from Basel.
