Aston Villa has joined a number of Premier League clubs interested in Chelsea youngster Patrick Bamford, according to reports.

The 21-year-old attacker has impressed on loan at Middlesbrough this season and was named Championship Player of the Year at the Football League Awards.
The Daily Mail reports Villa manager Tim Sherwood is keen on Bamford, who has netted 19 goals in the Championship to help Middlesbrough secure a playoff spot.
Sherwood faces stiff competition for Bamford’s signature however, with Crystal Palace, Everton and Southampton all reportedly monitoring the striker’s progress.
According to the report, Chelsea is prepared to allow Bamford to go out on loan again next season with Jose Mourinho’s attacking stocks loaded with talent.
Aston Villa’s interest in Bamford shows Sherwood may be preparing for life after Christian Benteke, with the Belgian believed to be the subject of interest from Liverpool.
Chelsea have been linked with a number of world-class strikers in the past few weeks, and it seems Bamford’s days are numbered at Stamford Bridge.
