Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has seemingly won his battle of word’s with Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque as striker Diego Costa was left out of the squad to face Belarus and Germany next week, the Daily Mirror reports.

The former Atletico Madrid has struggled with fitness all season following a World Cup ruined by injury issues, and last month Blues boss Mourinho claimed the troubles were caused by his work on international duty.
But Del Bosque has cut the Brazilian-born front man in what will come as a huge boost to the Blues’ title credentials.
“We have decided that he should take a rest because of the problems with his pubis bone,” said the Spain coach.
“He has shown that he wants to come, but it would be prudent for him to rest. Health comes first.”
