Chelsea recently signed striker Radamel Falcao on a loan deal despite his disappointing season with Manchester United.
Blues star striker Diego Costa is happy with his team’s decision to give the Man United flop a second chance in England.
The 26-year-old striker went on to explain how Falcao can rejuvenate his career.
“Radamel Falcao is a very talented player who just needs a bit of affection. I’ve spent a couple of seasons with him and I reckon things went fairly well. He did a lot for me and he’s a great striker,” Costa told The Express.
Costa is already familiar with Falcao. As he stated, they played together at Atletico Madrid for two seasons.
The 29-year-old Colombian international showed star potential as he scored 52 goals in his two-year La Liga stint.
However, Falcao struggled in the 2014-15 season for Man United, as he only scored four goals in 26 Premier League appearances.
Costa’s last season was much different from Falcao’s, as he took Stamford Bridge by storm with 20 goals in 26 Premier League appearances.
He also led the Blues to the Premier League title, which marked their fourth and first in Jose Mourinho’s second stint as manager.
