Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is set to hand manager Jose Mourinho £75m to spend on new players this summer after the club’s shock exit to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

According to CaughtOffside, the Russian was bitterly disappointed with the Blues’ early exit from this season’s competition, and hopes to rectify the squad’s shortcomings in the transfer market.
Chelsea seemingly still have some way to go to catch up with European powerhouses such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, and Mourinho will be supported in finding new players.
The Portuguese coach splashed out around £90m last summer, but the dury is still out on some signings such as Filipe Luis and Loic Remy, while Cesc Fabregas has suffered a major dip in form in the second half of the season.
