Chelsea have been handed a major boost in the chase for Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos, according to reports.
The Brazilian international has struggled to make an impact for the Ligue 1 giants, playing just 10 minutes so far this season.
According to Le10Foot [via Metro], the 21-year-old is growin unsettled at the Parisian giants and could push for a move away from the club.
Metro reports Chelsea had a £30.6m bid for Marquinhos turned down by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in August, leaving the Blues to make cut-price moves for Papy Djilobodji and Michael Hector after also missing out on John Stones.
Laurent Blanc is understood to have promised the former AS Roma man a summer move if he did not feature early in PSG’s Ligue 1 campaign, and he could now attempt to force a transfer away from the Parc de Princes.
The defender has made 47 Ligue appearances for PSG since joining the club in 2013.
