Chelsea have been handed a transfer boost, with reports suggesting Inter Milan are preparing for life without star striker Mauro Icardi.
Icardi was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea during the summer window, and it seems the Blues could make a move for the Argentine international in January.
According to Fichajes, Inter boss Roberto Mancini is already searching for a replacement for the 22-year-old.
Icardi scored 27 goals in all competitions last season and it seems Inter are not confident in being able to keep hold of the former Sampdoria man.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could be keen to bolster his front third during the winter transfer window following a below-par start to the season from Diego Costa, Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy.
The Blues had a relatively underwhelming summer in the transfer market after missing out on key target John Stones.
Mancini will be doing all he can to hold onto one of Inter’s most prized assets, but a move to the Premier League with the London club may be too hard for Icardi to turn down.
