Drogba returned to Stamford Bridge in the summer after a spell with Galatasaray and has been an effective substitute for Jose Mourinho, despite having reached the evergreen age of 36.
The Portland Timbers owner has now indicated that his side are interested in offering Drogba another year in football, however – which could lead to the striker following former teammate Frank Lampard and adversary Steven Gerrard to the USA.
