Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has been confirmed as a target for the Blues by Mourinho, although his season with Man United on a loan deal turned out to be a disappointment.
The 29-year-old was only able to score four goals for the Red Devils this season after coming off a season that consisted of a torn ACL.
Mourinho is looking to shore up the striker position for his team due to the departure of Didier Drogba, and he firmly believes that Falcao still has plenty of juice left in him.
“If I can help Falcao reach his level again, I will do it. It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United,” Mourinho said to ESPN FC.
27-year-old Colombia international Juan Cuadrado has been rumored to be on the move, but Mourinho promised that he will not sell him.
Chelsea will look to defend their Premier League title as they attempt to sign Falcao and revive his career.
