Roma director Walter Sabatini was in London on Friday to discuss a deal with Chelsea for Egyptian international Mohamed Salah.
According to Sky Sport Italia, as reported by Football Italia, Jose Mourinho has requested Romagnoli to be included as part of the deal to take the former Basel man to the Italian capital.
Milan have already seen several bids for the Italian defender rejected, with their latest €25m offer still falling short of the €30m asking price from the Giallorossi.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have also reportedly been monitoring his situation given that the 20-year-old is widely regarded as the future of the Italy defence.
Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic has previously described Romagnoli as the ‘new Alessandro Nesta’ after the youngster impressed during a loan spell at Sampdoria last season, but that may well be backfiring on him now as the Premier League duo could beat him to his signing.
