Real Sociedad midfielder Antoine Griezmann is quickly becoming one of the most wanted men in football this summer, with the Express reporting that Chelsea have joined Arsenal and Liverpool in holding a serious interest in the Frenchman.
Griezmann is suggested to have rejected the offer of a new deal at La Liga club Sociedad, meaning that it is almost inevitable that he will move on from the San Sebastian club this summer as they ensure that they are able to cash in on their most valuable asset since midfielder Asier Illaramendi, who was sold to Real Madrid.
The 23 year-old cemented his position as one of Europe’s most promising young attacking players at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where he impressed for Didier Deschamps’ France side as Les Bleus enjoyed a good campaign, reaching a quarter final against Germany.
Griezmann was spotted by Real Sociedad scouts whilst growing up just across the border in France, with the Basque club eventually offering him youth terms after a short trial in San Sebastian.
He has flourished ever since, becoming a key part of the team for the last five seasons, improving his performances and goals tally ever since, up until the stunning achievement of smashing 20 goals for the club last season.
He is likely to be coveted by a number of Europe’s biggest clubs, but Premier League trio Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool seem to have emerged as the favourites for his signature as they look to lure a particularly fine talent to England.
