According to CaughtOffside, the French international’s superb form in Ligue 1 this season has now also caught Chelsea’s eye ahead of the summer, with the Blues looking to improve on their depth upfront after a frustrating season of injuries to their key players.
Although Diego Costa has shone since being brought to Stamford Bridge as the new first-choice centre-forward, he has missed some key games and sat out most of the end of the season due to a series of niggling injury problems, leaving Remy and 37-year-old Didier Drogba to deputise.
Remy himself has also struggled to stay fit, and may now be on his way out of the club as part of the offer to bring the highly-rated Lacazette to London instead.
With 30 goals in 37 games this term, there’s no doubt the 23-year-old could add something to Jose Mourinho’s squad as they look to build on their success next season.
