Drogba is set to move to Juve, breaking the hearts of millions of Chelsea fans.
It seems Chelsea fans will never be able to see their beloved Didier Drogba play for the club ever again, as reports in the Daily Express have revealed that the Ivorian has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Serie A champions Juventus.
The West Londoners were expected to re-sign the Galatasaray man this summer as a player or as an assistant coach, but the deal failed to materialise.
The presence of Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge was expected to act as a catalyst in Drogba’s return to the club.
However, the Blues now seem to be gearing up for investments in long-term targets and probably do not wish to land another veteran at the club this summer.
While Chelsea fans would be understandably disappointed by the aforementioned piece of news, they may find solace in the fact that Drogba is well past his prime and may have struggled to showcase the kind of form which made him a legend at the club.
