Chelsea skipper John Terry blasts Man United for being too defensive.
The former Manchester United man is currently out of favour at the Nou Camp and could well be tempted by a return to the Premier League in pursuit of more regular first team football.
Blues manager Jose Mourinho prefers the central defensive partnership of Gary Cahill and Terry at the moment, but with the skipper now 33-years-old the Portuguese coach knows alternatives will be needed soon.
Beyond the Englishmen only youngster Kurt Zouma is available as a centre-back and Mourinho wants Pique to come in and play alongside Cahill in defence.
The Spain international has found his place taken in Luis Enrique’s new look Barca team taken by new signing Jeremy Mathieu and when finally given chances – like in the 3-1 El Clasico defeat to Real Madrid on Saturday – the 27-year-old has looked rusty.
Pique previously spent four years with the Red Devils between 2004 and 2008 and they too are considering re-signing the Spaniard.
