Chelsea are looking to again offload midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah on loan, with reports suggesting the youngster is set to head back to Reading.
The England youth international spent the second half of last season on loan at the Madejski Stadium, and ESPNFC reports Chalobah is set to head back to the club he helped secure survival in the Championship and reach the FA Cup semi-finals.
Chalobah is understood to be highly-rated by Chelsea, however, the Blues’ star-studded midfield means the 20-year-old will find first-team opportunities hard to come by at Stamford Bridge.
The youngster has previously been out on loan at Middlesbrough, Watford, Nottingham Forest and Burnley, and it seems Mourinho is happy to allow Chalobah to gain valuable first-team experience in the Championship yet again.
According to ESPNFC’s report, Reading boss Steve Clarke is a big fan of Chalobah and the Royals currently lead the race for his signature.
