Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants to build a Premier League dynasty and wants to win the Champions League as well, and to do so he’s willing to empty the vault to acquire a trio of stars to add to his championship club.
According to the Metro, the Premier League Champion Chelsea Blues are freeing up as much as £106.5 million in order to acquire the trio of Koke, Diego Godin and Antoine Griezmann. The Metro estimates that Godin would likely cost around £17 million while the superstar Koke would need around £46 million to walk away from Atletico Madrid. Griezmann would need around £43.5 to trigger his release clause from the La Liga powerhouse.
Filipe Luis, the big flop on what was otherwise a nearly perfect transfer period of Mourinho en route to winning the Premier League Championship this season, is expected to return to Atletico Madrid as part of any transfer deal.
Mourinho coached Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013 and once called his loss to Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Ray Final “one of the worst” of his career.
