Blues linked with right back Micah Richards on a free transfer this summer.
Chelsea are keen on bringing Manchester City defender Micah Richards to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer when his Etihad Stadium contract expires in the summer, report the Guardian, despite the former England international currently enduring a patchy loan spell with Fiorentina in Serie A.

There have been reports that City are keen to keep hold of Richards as he allows them to meet crucial home grown quotas, but the right back is not interested in a bit part role and looks all set to leave the club.
Whether he would be willing to accept what is likely to be another back up position at Stamford Bridge is another matter, however, with Fiorentina also interested in making the deal permanent in the belief that Richards’ displays can continue to improve.
