Chelsea and Liverpool could be set to miss out as Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi is said to favour a summer move to Juventus, according to the Daily Express.
Both clubs have been linked with the 29-year-old in recent times, with PSG seemingly willing to sell the player after some unconvincing form in France since he made the move from Napoli back in 2012.
Lavezzi had been one of Serie A’s best players during his time in the Italian top flight, and he may now be heading back there as he is supposedly holding out for a summer switch to Turin over any other potential suitors.
Liverpool had been keen to sign an alternative to Loic Remy upfront, while Chelsea’s interest in the Argentine has seemingly cooled recently with Jose Mourinho bringing in the likes of Diego Costa and Didier Drogba upfront.
Juventus are also in the market for new signings in attack, and could look to Lavezzi to add some quality to their side as they target a fourth consecutive Serie A title in in 2014/15.
