Salah has opted to veto a return to Florence next season, and that has in turn sparked a bitter war with the club who are now looking to start legal proceedings.
The player’s agent claims that the Viola knew that he was leaving in February, but the Serie A outfit deny those suggestions and have revealed that Salah doesn’t intend on reporting back for pre-season training.
In an official club statement, Fiorentina added that they have now placed the matter in the hands of their legal team, and they will await further news in a bid to protect the club’s rights.
It is a disappointing twist to the situation given that the Egyptian international impressed after moving to the Artemio Franchi last season, scoring six goals in 16 league appearances.
However, with the likes of Juventus and Inter reportedly interested in acquiring his services, it appears as though he will consider his options and snub the Viola despite their desire to extend his stay at the club.
