After Man United went through countless hoops for Pedro, Chelsea appear poised to pull the robbery. Will the Blues scoop up the Barcelona star?
Chelsea are poised to make Louis van Gaal pull his hair out with the Stamford Bridge outfit poised to make a bid for Barcelona forward Pedro.
According to the Metro, Chelsea are interested in undercutting Man United’s transfer efforts for the 27-year-old Spanish superstar. Blues boss Jose Mourinho reportedly sees Pedro as a replacement for £26.1 million flop Juan Cuadrado. Barcelona are expected to put Pedro on the market after acquiring Arda Turan, and lowered Pedro’s release clause to £21 million.
Pedro has played his entire senior career for Barcelona, winning five La Liga titles, three Champions League titles, three Copa del Ray titles and four Supercopa de Espana titles since his debut in the 2007-08 season. Pedro has recorded double-digit total goals in each of his last six seasons and owns 16 career goals representing Spain’s international team.
