Chelsea and Manchester City have seemingly received a hammer blow in the chase for Paul Pogba, with Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta suggesting the Juventus star will join the Catalan giants.

Barcelona are not allowed to make any transfers until 2016 due to a FIFA-imposed transfer ban, however, it is believed the 22-year-old will hold out for a move to the Nou Camp rather than make a Premier League move this summer.
Laporta told Catalunya Radio that he enjoys a strong relationship with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola and added Pogba was “excited” to join Barcelona.
“Pogba is very excited to come to Barcelona,” he is quoted as saying by The Daily Mail.
“I have a very good relationship with Mino Raiola.
“It would be one of the best signings.
“Everyone believed he would fit into this team.”
Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have all also been linked with a move for the France international, but it seems the European champions are in pole position to snare the star player’s signature.
