Chelsea and Manchester United are two of the leading teams poised to bid on Atletico Madrid veteran center-back Miranda.
According to the Express, Miranda has one year left on his contract with Atletico Madrid but has been overshadowed in the club by rising star Jose Gimenez.
Man United previously made an attempt to land the still-solid 30-year-old defender last summer but fell short. As for Chelsea, club manager Jose Mourinho has made it clear he plans to reach deep into the talent pool of his old stomping grounds of La Liga to find stars to build a consistent winner.
Miranda has played for Atletico Madrid since 2011 after playing his first few years as a professional in his home country Brazil. While playing for Sao Paolo in Serie A, Miranda was named to the Serie A Team of the Year four straight times and helped the club to three straight championships.
