Blues boss delighted to have two high-quality options in goal.Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has strongly hinted that neither of his current goalkeepers will be sold this summer as he is yet to decide on his number one for next season, the Daily Mirror reports.
With exciting youngster Thibaut Courtois returning to Stamford Bridge after spending three years on loan with Atletico Madrid, Mourinho has a decision to make about whether or not to continue with the highly experienced Petr Cech as his first choice between the sticks.
There has been some speculation that the Czech Republic international could be the one set to make way, with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain linked with him in recent times. However, Mourinho says one of his players will have to be content to sit on the bench for much of the season as the two battle it out for a starting place.
“My situation for the season is fantastic,” said the Portuguese coach. “To have Cech and Courtois means we have the best young goalkeeper in the world and one of the top-three or five most experienced keepers.
“For me and Chelsea, it’s perfect. Maybe one of them won’t be happy but the Chelsea supporters will be happy and they’re more important than players.”
