Mourinho was angered when Chelsea weren’t awarded a penalty for what appeared to be a foul by Southampton left back Matt Targett on midfielder Cesc Fabregas, with the official instead booking the Spaniard for simulation.
It had been expected that Mourinho’s comments would lead to a charge and the FA have confirmed this on their website today, suggesting that his comments amounted to “improper conduct”.
