The Blues boss could well make a move for his former star striker.
Anzhi Makhachkala striker and former Barcelona and Inter Milan hit-man Samuel Eto’o could well be reuniting with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.
The 50-year-old has told the media that it’s great to have players like Eto’o interested in coming to Stamford Bridge and has not ruled out a move.
Mourinho on Eto’o: ‘I’m happy a playe rwho worked with me before says he wants to join me again, especially one like Samuel…’ #CFC

The Cameroon international has been transfer-listed at current club Anzhi, along with the rest of the squad at the Russian side, due to financial problems.
Since then the 32-year-old has been strongly linked with a reunion with Mourinho, after the pair worked together for a year at the San Siro.
The Portuguese maestro brought Eto’o to Italy as part of a colossal move by Barca that saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic go the other way.
Yet under Mourinho’s guidance the Serie A outfit went on to win the treble in 2009/10 of league, Coppa Italia and Champions League – the third top European trophy of the African’s career.
With the Blues needing strengthening up front due to increased doubts over the performance levels of Fernando Torres and Demba Ba, Eto’o could well prove to be the missing link.
The west London club have made Rooney their No.1 target, but could be forced to look elsewhere due to Manchester United’s determination not to sell.
