With Chelsea sitting top of the Premier League table heading into Christmas midfielder Nemanja Matic has become the latest player to announce the quadruple is a realistic target.

As well as their impressive league form the Blues are also through to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Last-16 of the Champions League, Liverpool in the Capital One Cup semi-final and begin their FA Cup campaign in early January.
No team has ever won all four trophies in a single season, with Manchester United’s treble of league, FA Cup and Champions League back in 1999 the most successful haul to date.
However, with his side looking strong currently Matic thinks that the West Londoners can go one better than the Red Devils in 2014/15.
“We will try and we will see if we can do it. I am confident, I believe in my team, my team-mates, so everything is possible,” the 26-year-old was quoted by the Mirror.
“It’s always important when you are mentally prepared to win especially, and in this moment we are confident, we are top of the table so everything is OK in this moment and we will try to continue like this.”
The next outing for Matic’s side is a home encounter with West Ham United at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.
