It looks as if Chelsea have moved ahead in the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira as Arsenal’s interest cools, according to respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.
Khedira: Mou reluctant 2 enter an auction ’cause he thinks player has a personal deal with Arsenal. His agent denies it. RM want him to go

The future of Khedira at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu has been in doubt for some time with the 27-year-old having entered the final year of his current contract with the club.
The Gunners were the first to show interest in the Germany international as they search for a defensive midfielder, but manager Arsene Wenger has since ruled out the move.
Not that this has prevented the Frenchman from going back on his word in the past, but Khedira’s box-to-box capabilities aren’t thought to be what Wenger is looking for.
It’s a different story for the Blues however, who with Nemanja Matic already at Stamford Bridge would probably benefit from a player in the mould of the Madrid ace.
They have already signed Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona this summer and have a very strong squad, but one more purchase in the middle is on the wishlist for Jose Mourinho.
The 51-year-old is a big fan of Khedira as well, having bought the German for Los Blancos from Stuttgart back in the summer of 2010.
