8) David Silva (Manchester City)
After a slight dip in form in 2012/13, David Silva re-established himself as a top class midfield playmaker this season, scoring eight goals and providing thirteen assists in all competitions to help Manchester City win back the Premier League title from their rivals Manchester United, as well as picking up the Capital One Cup along the way.
The Spaniard is set for another key role for his national side this summer as they look to retain the World Cup, and is already one of the most decorated players in the game with all his success for club and country.
On his day, there are few better at dictating the play and finding that incisive pass than Silva.
