7) Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)
Another rising star in the Premier League, Philippe Coutinho is surely one of the best up-and-coming young talents in Europe after his first season-and-a-half with Liverpool.
The 22-year-old Brazilian can count himself extremely unlucky not to be involved with his national side at this summer’s World Cup, and was also desperately unfortunate not to taste Premier League glory with the Reds this season as they came so close to clinching their first title since 1990.
Coutinho provided five goals and seven assists to his side’s cause, and scored a memorable late winner against eventual champions Manchester City at Anfield in one of the games of the season.
If Liverpool are to bring back the glory years to Merseyside, then there’s no doubt Coutinho will be a big part of their success.
