3) Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea)
If ex-Arsenal captain Fabregas can be anything as good as he was during his first spell in the Premier League, he will surely be up there with the very best in Europe as well as England.
The 27-year-old has endured a difficult time back at his boyhood club Barcelona, often playing out of position as a forward or even out wide, but he will now be hoping to get a chance to play in his favoured role again with Chelsea.
Although the Spaniard was not given the chance to prove himself as the natural heir to Xavi and Andres Iniesta at the Nou Camp, he could prove a bargain at £30m if he is given that freedom to dictate the play in Jose Mourinho’s midfield.
There are some question marks about his drastic dip in form in 2013/14 as well as his attitude whilst wearing a Barcelona shirt, but he still finished the season with 13 goals and 16 assists, which is more than most players get in a good year.
Despite the emergence of Ramsey and the signing of Ozil, it’s hard not to see Arsenal regretting passing up this opportunity.
