Remy joined Chelsea at the end of the transfer window from local rivals Queens Park Rangers, replacing flop forward Fernando Torres who has been allowed to leave for AC Milan on a two-year loan deal.
Remy was keen to stress that he has already had a good discussion with Mourinho about his impending Chelsea career:
“I spoke with the manager. He is very clever and he knows exactly what he wants.”
“He has targets for me and I have a target for myself as well. Everybody wants the best, so the discussion was really good.”
“I know he can get the best out of a player and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
