Chelsea set aside £60m to sign Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo
The current Ballon d’Or holder is being tipped with an exit from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu next summer with former club Manchester United supposedly leading the race.
However, according to the Daily Express, Jose Mourinho is going to try and tempt Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge instead with the lure of a reunion.
Mourinho managed the 29-year-old for three years at Madrid and the Blues have set aside a £60m transfer budget, plus an offer of £290,000-a-week, to tempt the Portugal captain to West London.
