£19m Raphael Varane move mooted
While the two clubs bid for Reus, Chelsea will also be trying to snag a player already at Real. Defender Raphael Varane is apparently available for a ludicrously cheap £19m, and wants to leave because of a lack of minutes in Madrid.
Quite why he thinks he would get any more playing time rotating with John Terry, Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma is anyone’s guess, but no Chelsea fans will be upset at the idea of signing the pacy centre-back.
