AC Milan are also interested in another Chelsea player as they step up their interest in taking youngster Marco van Ginkel on loan, according to Inside Futbol.
The Dutch midfielder had an injury-hit first season with the Blues last term, and could now head out on a season-long deal to help him back to fitness and form.
Once regarded as one of the most promising young players in Holland, van Ginkel could prove a useful addition for Milan in midfield this season.
