Youngster to earn new bumper contract
Chelsea are ready to hand a new bumper contract to young goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois after promoting him to number one this season, according to the Daily Mirror.
Manager Jose Mourinho has recrently chosen the Belgian youngster as his first choice in goal ahead of the long-serving Petr Cech, who has been dropped to the bench in a controversial move.
Courtois has performed well so far this season after an impressive three-year loan stint with Atletico Madrid, and now looks set to be rewarded with a big wage rise, which could triple his current £30,000 per week contract.
