Sergio Ramos quells Chelsea row
Sergio Ramos has backtracked after his comments yesterday seemed to indicate doubt over the severity of Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa’s injuries.
The Spain captain said that he would “like players to show the same commitment to the national team as they do to their club,” but has today insisted that he was not suggesting that the Chelsea pair were examples of players putting their club over their country.
“I underlined the commitment that there should be in the national team, not that the two of them don’t have it,” ESPN quote the defender as saying.
