Patrick Bamford Happy With Rotating Role
Chelsea’s young English striker Patrick Bamford has admitted he was unhappy with a lack of minutes earlier this season, but has now come to terms with his new manager’s rotation policy.
The youngster is on loan at Middlesbrough, and after a slow start has started to find the goalscoring form that he showed in loan spells at MK Dons and Derby last season.
“There was a spell at the start when I admit I was a bit unhappy because I wasn’t starting a lot of games but [Aitor Karanka] spoke to me and explained honestly what his approach was,” the Middlesbrough Gazette quote the youngster as saying.
“He told me: ‘You’ve got to be in it for the team. It is only the team that can win games.'”
